These are the stories of the American Police Veterans.
America made a promise to take care of those that have protected America. That promise wasn't broken. It was empty words. Some of those words were turned into laws, where they were ignored. America Thinks that retired and disabled law enforcement officers are living large at the expense of the taxpayer. Read their stories. Then decide for yourself. Who is paying the ultimate price for safe American communities.
The Policevet: For or against a strong border, guest workers or deportation, Now is the time to act.
I've opined that it is difficult to get the press interested in the concerns of policevets.
In a previous post, I suggested some one create a news event involving a puppy. Well, we have to move with the times and meet them on the front line of politically created news. Guarding the United States border and sending 12 - 15,000,000 back where they came from is the big news of the day, week or maybe the year.
Every politician has a take on it, their very opinionated, but don't expect a meaningful solution to come out of congress anytime soon. Even if Congress passes a law, don't expect President Bush to implement it.
So policevets, whether you are for or against a strong border, guest workers or deportation, it is time to act. Join the US Border patrol today!
Don't run down to the federal building application in hand. I'm not suggesting that you become a federal law enforcement officer guarding the borders of the United States of America. You definitely wouldn't want to take the chance of getting hit in the line of duty. If you die your family will be taken care of, but watch out if you become totally disabled!
As policevets we've heard the horror stories of how the United States takes care of its disabled law enforcement officers. They don't!
So join the US border patrol and become active in your community. The press has already let this story line run out of hard news, so set up an US border in your community. Eventually, some reporter will interview you for this important nation news marathon.
Once you've got them hungry for another meaningless quote from a non-news source, lean in and whisper, "I'm a disabled policevet and I have a story to tell."
