Not being handicapped I had not thought about the daily problems and frustration you must deal with. Your well scripted piece has given me some measure of insight.
As I read your article, the plight of the American Indian came mind. Although I am not an Indian I continue to be amazed that, even to this day, he is discriminated against. He is denied his constitutionally guaranteed rights to be treated with equality. He suffers persecution, personal indignities, and denial of freedoms inherent to all men. Although he has made some progress in recent years he still fights for resolution of his complaints.
In my humble opinion: the law does not apply equally to minorities in this country. Unfortunately the physically handicapped are obviously one of those minorities.
It is only through the efforts of persevering individuals like yourself that equal rights will be obtained for the disenfranchised minority victims.
By your fortitude, challenging the corporate establishment, you are blazing a trail for the disadvantaged of the future.
Hopefully others lives will be made easier through your efforts. Hang in there.

Comment on 13 Minutes Book by Robert "Blaine" Jorg

What a joke!! In this case, as well as every other case in Cincinnati where a white Officer has shot to death a black man, we hear the families all say the same thing, "What a good, upstanding citizen he was". This is a farce! The majority of the men shot to death have had rap sheets that are many pages in length. How can you defend your child knowing this? Let's face it, Roger was involved in drugs and the proof is in the pudding. What was the white substance in his mouth? I doubt it was peppermint candy! Lets get real here. These two Officers, as well as other Officers, are guilty of nothing more than being political pawns. Why the City decided to pay the Owensby family off is beyond me. This is a part of the reason the City is in the financial situation they are in now. Although I do not wish the death of anyone, your son's death is a result of his own stupidity!!!!

Comment on Meet Mike... Here is Australia we have similar problems, not the least is below standard govt issued vehicles & equipment. Many officers are being forcibly mdically retired in Western Australia as a result of duty related incidents, many from vehicle crashes & incidents. Please visit www.rmuwapol.org and leave a message for us, would like to hear what you think of our site!! All the best to our retired injured brothers & sisters.

Comment on Policevet's knowledge key to preventing future injuries and deaths,

Charles, if you happen to come back to this site, I am just writing this to let you know, that a group of retired medically unfit WA Police have started to get together on a chat site. We are a politically motivated group, who want to take on the system to change it. The WA Police/Govt in Australia should be ashamed of themselves for not looking after their sick & injured troops. They hide behind a technicality that their officers are not "employee's" so they can throw them out without any medical benefits or compensation. We have also set up a new website for people to make contact. If anyone else reads this and has a look at our site, please leave a message in our guest book. We have good reason to think our site is being monitored by the powers to be, so every entry there will help us. Our website is www.rmuwapol.org

Comment on American Police Veterans

Looking forward to some new stories & updates!!
